Our client is an extremely well-funded French based biotech company focused on the development of antibody drug conjugates for high unmet need diseases such as cancer.
Reporting into the CEO, the role holder will be responsible for co-directing the portfolio strategy (focusing amongst others on NSCLC, head & neck, esophageal cancer, SCLC and breast cancer) to develop products to market in compliance with global regulatory, legislative and medical/health requirements.
In addition, there will be responsibility with the CEO and the R&D team for developing strategic plans for the company’s ADC pipeline to ensure development programs meet quality and safety standards required by medical and regulatory agencies. The COO will be responsible for representing the client within the scientific community, pharma and biotech companies as well as regulatory and legislative agencies, addressing the scientific and medical/health aspects of the company’s product portfolio. In conjunction with the CMO and their team; there will be a part to play in developing and maintaining relationships with KOLs and investigators
The candidate will be an experienced Scientist with extensive international expertise in the development of ADCs for use in oncology. Experience in dealing with pre-clinical issues right through the development cycle to regulatory submissions is required. Experience working in a fast-paced Biotech is essential, as is possessing first class interpersonal skills required for the wide range of interactions this key person will undertake working internally with team members and externally with experts, outsourced development, and investors. The role holder will need to be available to travel to France (Paris) approximately once per month.
