Our client is a leading European pharmaceutical CDMO focused on attractive technology niches. With world class FDA & MHRA inspected facilities for contract development manufacture of liquid fill hard capsules they offer complete end-to-end manufacturing services and innovative pharmaceutical solutions from pre-formulation to commercial manufacture.

The Head of Development will provide leadership to the development function and act as an effective member of the senior management team with input at a strategic level. The role holder will bring a strong track record of oral drug delivery formulations, especially in poorly soluble drug product strategies, and ideally experience in lipid-based technologies and/or hotmelt extrusion. A key focus is on building strong relations with internal and external customers as well as pharmaceutical and biotech partners.

The role requires a pharmacy or science degree, preferably at PhD level, with several years’ experience in managing development projects and leading teams of scientists, preferably in a CDMO environment.
