Our client is an extremely well-funded French based biotech company focused on the development of antibody drug conjugates for high unmet need diseases such as cancer.

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for providing the company management and board with accurate and timely information on the performance of the company as well as providing critical input into planning and decision making. The CFO will work with the scientific team to create budgets, forecast spending and monitor / control spending vs. progress in R&D.

The CFO is responsible for maintaining a high standard of financial management and corporate governance across the company. He/She will also manage the finance team as well as the relationships with key external stakeholders, including accountants, auditors, banks, investors and legal advisor.

The role requires significant experience in accountancy preferably with a relevant accounting qualification, and experience in financial management roles including corporate governance. Past exposure from working in a biotech environment would be a major advantage as would that of working in an oncology drug development organization. The ability to provide strategic advice and input to the executive management team is important with proven ability and willingness to undertake all of the day-to-day core accounting processes and activities. Familiarity with IFRS and expertise in investor liaison is required and ideally the ability to read/speak French with fluent English. Location flexible with in UK/EU.
