Our client is a charity that uses digital health to accelerate access to healthcare by changing and saving lives of millions of people in underserved communities. Their purpose is to make it simple for underserved communities to get the healthcare they need particularly in countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Their initial goal is to enable 30 million people in underserved communities to get essential healthcare by 2030, especially in maternal and child health.

They facilitate simpler, smarter healthcare through a best-in-class technology platform called Clinitouch which enables community health workers to screen and monitor any health condition in any community all on one simple, offline app. The platform’s smart algorithms generate scores so a nurse, doctor or midwife knows how and when to take action to prevent diseases or conditions getting worse.

Since launching at the end of 2023, they have started working with Unjani Clinics in South Africa, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and the Ministry of Health in Eswatini, and with partners, plan to expand into other countries in the region.

They seek an experienced UK-based financial professional to join their Board of Trustees as Treasurer. Ideally, the Treasurer will bring extensive expertise as a financial professional in the non-profit sector and / or as Treasurer for a global charity with knowledge of the UK Charity Commission code as well as a passion for addressing global health inequity. Trustees are appointed for a 3-year term of office into this voluntary position.
